What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

Books by the Bed

I posted the above image on my Instagram page last night. This is part of the shelving unit next to my bed. I've been trying to reorganize and get these books off of the floor:

and onto different shelves throughout the apartment:

In my family, we consider books to be a part of the basic necessities. I will buy books before art supplies. It is quite a challenge to live in a small space and try to have a library at the same time.

I've made the photos nice and big because I know that I'm not the only one who loves looking at what's on other folks' shelves. These are only the books within reach when I lie in by my bed.

Hi Kelly! I love your blog! Thank you so much for all of your wonderful tips and things.
This post in particular is cute to me because I am sitting in a pile of books myself. LOL

I almost dies laughing when I saw the books alongside of your bed. This looks very similar to me and is where I also keep my "urgent to read" books. My pile grows and grows and is also hard to organize. I stopped by from another blog as I am an avid journaler and apparently you teach mixed media journaling. My journals are very colorful, but not of this type, and have been thinking this is something i would liek to explore more, so here i am. Will follow you, and when I am not in the middle of a photography class, will come back and take one of your classes ( or more) Nice to meet you!
