What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my workshops both in person and online, things for sale, favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Au Revoir, Durfort...

My napkin ring...I really wanted it...
At the same time, I wanted to pack these ladies up and take them with me, too...

I really appreciated being able to look back and share our journal pages before we left. Most of us didn't finish and are still working in our books (which is a lovely gift as it keeps the week alive and fresh.)

Au revoir, Durfort (for now)... You were good to us. I may not have physically been able to take these ladies with me, but they'll always be with me and a part of that wonderful week in the South of France... Merci beaucoup, ladies. Merci beaucoup.

Our adventure continues with trips to Arles, Saint Remy, Berlin, Amsterdam, Paris and back to London...more soon!

Durfort Part Sept our Last Day in the Studio

Our last full day in Durfort so we decided to stay in the studio and work!

As well as eat! Lunch was moved outside today as the weather was perfect:

After lunch, some of us took our journals outside along with paint markers and pens to record our thoughts and document the local flora and fauna around us:

Reference notes taken during the workshop:

This fold out page of mine later ended up getting cut up and turned into postcards:

Taking the trash out late at night in Durfort. Shhhh...

or else you'll wake the bats! (Not in the photo but they were there! Barnabas Collins was saying hi!)

Oh, how we didn't want it to end...
