Visiting Vincent at the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, CT

Last year when I visited the Wadsworth Atheneum in Hartford, Connecticut I was told that there was only one Van Gogh on display:

This time I was told to go, "left at the pumpkin" and up the staircase to my left:

Vase with Poppies was waiting. Separate from the other paintings

I've read various comments online about the painting saying that it's not, "top notch Van Gogh." Comments like these turn me off. Everything that an artist creates is like one pearl on a string of pearls. It leads you to the entire piece, the overall body of work. It is part of what makes the artist that artist. I could have spent all day in that room with that one painting. Alas, the museum was closing soon and I had to get on the road. Not to mention that my Mother was patiently waiting in our car full of stuff (we drove Tristan's things from Montreal to Massachusetts to Los Angeles. The car was PACKED, not even any room for a Van Gogh! Well... postcards and a couple of goodies from the museum gift shop.)

Adieu, Vincent, for now!

To each and every one of you who took the chance, jumped in and signed up, thank you

To the store owners and folks who opened up their doors to me, promoted the heck out of the workshops, passed the word on and just helped to support what I do, thank you

To my Mom who helped me to put 8,000 miles on the rental car, listened to Rubberband Man 9,000,000 times (and much more than that!) thank you

To my son who helped me schlep stuff workshop supplies all over the country for many years, thank you

To my husband who is always supportive in whatever I decide to do, thank you.

My April-May 2019 road trip was quite the memorable one.

Please, remember to support your Mom and Pop shops as much as possible. They are getting to be far and few between. Many of them need our help and support so they're there when we need them to be.

For those of you who are reading this, thank you.

Look Who Came to Visit!

I love and appreciate my friends! The always thoughtful and extremely big hearted, Doris Arndt lovingly made my new friend for me. He'll be my guide as I trek through Europe in search of all things Vincent. Bags are being packed. Plans are being made.

We. Are. Ready.

Thank you, Doris. I love this little guy so much!
