Family, Drawing and Painting Bottles and On the Go Tools
Finally! I've learned how to pack light!
Someone (whom his parents hadn't seen in a year!) was coming to visit (more on that later!) I knew that if I had any down time, I'd want access to art supplies in a quick and easy manner. I also knew that I wouldn't want to be lugging paints and what not around so I opted for a medium I'm not entirely comfortable with just yet, Holbein colored pencils! I love how they all fit in my Blue Rooster pencil bag along with an A6 Hahnemuhle Sketch and Note Journal. Easy, accessible and lightweight! (I didn't start out with all of the above pencils. I kinda added to them two, three or more times last week (I REGRET NOTHING!) I haven't used the Meltz tool yet (but will share when I do.)
A shot of the band back together (I miss our boy (and his pup!)) He's already back in Canada and we miss him but we're so thankful that he was able to visit!
I've been a bit obsessive lately about drawing and painting bottles. I'm getting ready to teach my new, virtual workshop this Saturday, Painted Meditations: Learning through Repetition.
While Painted Meditations is a class that's all about acrylics, I've been experimenting with some other media that I'm not completely comfortable with. (I've used many of these mediums off and on over the years, and, thankfully, I still have a lot to learn. Art is an ongoing quest!) I thought I'd share some of my experimentations:

As I write this, someone (not me!) is napping. Off to prepare for this weekend's classes. My easel and my paints are calling. I hope that this finds you well...
