Vincent at the National Gallery, London
We were walking around in a sleep deprived daze but seeing Vincent's work at the National Gallery was an absolute must. Vincent's chair has been on my Must See List for quite some time so we trekked across London to stand in front of it. I wasn't disappointed.
The National Gallery was a little quieter than the Tate with most of the activity seeming to be around Vincent's work. I have a tendency to want to focus on one artist when I go to a museum so it was hard to walk by so many extraordinary paintings. David insisted that we visit with Turner before we left (he was right in insisting!)
I've seen a couple of nods to Vincent's chair over the years. This one by Raimonds Staprans was one of my favorites:

Flipping through my France collection of collage materials, I noticed an abundance of chair images. Maybe there's a nod to Vincent coming on my journal pages or postcards...
