I love this journal and the memories that it brings back. The page on the right is about the fireflies that danced across the road as Mom and I headed into Chicago. I'm hoping to visit Chicago again next month. I was hoping to find a place to teach there (or somewhere between where I'm teaching in Madison, WI, the St Louis Art Museum in Missouri and Los Angeles as where I taught last year is already booked that weekend...

Speaking of workshops, April is a busy month. This weekend, I'm in San Diego and Los Angeles. Next weekend I trek to Sacramento. At the end of the month, I'll be headed across the country to teach at The Queen's Ink in Savage, MD (followed by workshops at the Ink Pad in NYC, Massachusetts and Madison, WI.) I'm looking for some new venues for this summer. I'm serious when I say, have art supplies, will travel!

Last but not least, it took a week to score, fold, assemble, poke, bind, package, address and tape every printed copy. Before I decided to publish it, it was over a year in the making. My books are finished and headed out into the world today. For those of you who pre-ordered a copy, thank you for your patience, your interest and your support. If you are interested in a copy, I have some available. These will never be reprinted so catch them while you can. I can't wait for you to be holding my work in your hands.
