Prepping to leave to teach for one last time this weekend at Maria's studio in Niles. I always love trekking to Northern California and while this visit will be bittersweet, I'm also really looking forward to seeing familiar faces as well as meeting some new ones. I know that it will be a wonderful weekend. 

My next step is to try to figure out how everything's going to fit in the rental car. I have things to give away all weekend long as door prizes. I also have some books to sell (listed here if you'd like me to bring any specific titles, please let me know as I can't bring them all.) Still trying to clean out my little apartment... 

The page above was made when David was still recuperating from surgery and we were waiting for the first round of results after his surgery. It sums up my thoughts and feelings (for me) at the time perfectly. 

Been thinking about art making a lot these past few days and how I use it to process, explore and document my life and the world around me. I have never thought of it as an escape but more so as my sanity. I gravitate towards images, colors, shapes and patterns that reflect what I'm thinking and how I'm feeling.You may work in a different way but this is what works for me. Art is always what we need it to be...
