What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

5 April 2012 Journal Page

I'm trying to push myself some more with this book and use colors that I don't normally gravitate towards (see the purple above?) I'm having a lot of fun with it. I announced my new two day class yesterday that involves collage, paint and more. It's called A Compendium of Visual Delights. I'll be teaching it in Fremont and Los Angeles in June. I don't have it on the schedule anywhere else yet so catch it while you can. I am VERY excited about this new class. I haven't taught a PAINT class in a long time and my goal with this new book is NOT to paint like I used to so this is something new even if you've taken a gazillion painting classes with me. I'm also combining collage with the paint in a way that's different for me. I'm loving the process.

Did I mention that I'm on Instagram? You can search for me under KellyTMKilmer. I try to post different photos than what I post here.

Blog Love
This zine is on my wishlist especially since I loved her other zines.

Hi Kelly! I'm watching your slides at Picasa, falling in love with each page. What kind of paper do you use for your journals? is it recicled paper or is it cardboard? Sorry for asking, I don't remember having read that in any of your posts (the ones I have already read ha ha!)
