26 September 2011 Journal page

I taped in some movie tickets:
I am teaching two new classes this weekend. On Friday, I'll be at Zinnia teaching Passionate Declarations. On Sunday, I'll be at Stampin From the Heart in L.A. teaching Serenity Pages. At the end of the month on October 28-30th, I'll be teaching in Oakland (there's still some room left! Please don't wait too long to sign up.) I'll also be trekking to Frenzy Stamper in AZ November 11-13th. More information on all of the classes is here.

Hambly is having a great sale on transparencies. I've been running low for classes so this was perfect timing on their part.

I've been keeping my nose deep in this book the last few days. I'm almost done with it and it's almost impossible to put down.

The new Dan Eldon book is finally available on Amazon!

New Lynda Barry soon, too!

Has anyone seen this magazine? I'd love to buy one but it's very expensive. They have a facebook page, too.
I love this post on Matisse.

Eric Drooker has new posters available to download (free). Pass them on if you're so inclined.

Awesome page Kelly! I love seeing your journal work. OOOOO Transparencies! I've been wanting to work with those. Too bad I already spent that cash I got for selling my paintings on books, Tonic scissors & various other supplies. LOL

Be careful with the writing on movie tickets, some that I have put into my journal just a few months ago are fading, and a year ago have completely disappeared. I now try to scan and print them before putting them into my journal. Its a special heat printing of some sort I think.

I love your journals, but can't go to workshops or afford online classes. I looked on You Tube but didn't find anything from you. Do you have a simple tutorial for how you do your basic journals? Thanks!

Thanks for so much blog love. TWIN PEAKS, those years of 'don't miss' television; and my particular - timely - favorite, the Australian Mail Art project (I just posted celebrating mail art). Once I find out what postage will be to Australia, because one has to use stamps and not something metered from the Post Office, I would like to participate. Isn't it a vast and amazing world? Wishing you well for your Zinnia class. xo

P. S. - I know nothing of the magazine but sure wish it wasn't so expensive and, surely, hard to find. We paper fanatics need affordable fixes. xo

I just signed up for Serenity in Oakland. Been thinking about it for a while and this post finally tipped me over the edge.
I'm in a small town with no other art journalers that I can find, so looking forward to time with some in your class. Maybe someone will live (kinda sorta) near me.
Neat mag. Maybe B&N will have it...
