When you think of spring, what comes to mind? A riot of COLOR.

Think of color, shape, texture, and line as you explore an array of guided exercises.

Our object is not to "make" anything. We won't be focusing on representational or non representational works. Instead, you will create richly layered and vibrant surfaces, with techniques and ideas that can be applied to a variety of mediums and approaches.

You will leave the session inspired, engaged, and eager to paint!

There's no wrong way to approach this workshop or how to absorb this material. Think of using a variety of substrates: good paper, found paper, book pages, junk paper, canvas, board, panel, old art, art journaled or collaged pages.

Will send ideas to prep and play before and after the workshop.

Spend time creating with me!

If you can't make the live session, there's always a work at your own pace recording and handout provided afterwards.

Registration is limited to ensure time for everyone to ask questions and share.

This is not a step by step workshop.

This is not, "make what I am making."

This is:

  • a prompt based workshop where the goal is to explore creating richly layered painted surfaces

  • an hour long session for creative folks interested in expressing themselves with acrylic paint

At the end of each hour long session, additional time will be given for folks to share work as well as ask questions both on and off camera.

I will guide you through a variety of painting exercises. These are all exercises that are designed to inspire, generate ideas, and to encourage you to create work that is unique to you.

All of my workshops are work at your own pace with a follow-up handout and a recording shared a few days after the session. They are encouraged to inspire you to keep working beyond our time together.

This workshop series is designed for creative play and sharing.

Can't make the live workshop?

The main part of my workshops are always recorded. However, please note: for those who are camera shy, during the main part of the workshop I am pinned and students are muted (but, encouraged to unmute and ask questions!) Additionally, before and after the session, there is time for students to ask questions, share, and engage with each other and me, WHILE NOT BEING RECORDED.

You'll receive a special link and a class handout within 2 days after the workshop ends. You'll also have access to me should you have any questions AFTER the workshop ends.

Remember, enrollment is limited.

Make time for your creativity.
