What is it about texture and color that captures our attention and draws us in?

 

Let's add to your artist's toolbox of techniques, ideas and inspiration!

Find joy in the process of harvesting ideas through hands on experiments, demonstrated techniques and unexpected discoveries in the process. Create a multi-layered visual feast of texture, color, shape and more. 

You will create a pile of your own unique swatches, an inspirational guide of textural remnants that can be used in a wide variety of art making! 

 

Think: 

• collage fodder
• inspirational/reference material
• book pages
•  even stand alone artwork! 

Ideas for mixed media artists, painters, collage artists, textile artists, etc...! A visual FEAST for the senses!

Saturday, 24th September, 2022

10 a.m. to Noon PDT

$45

Supply list: 

• At least 10-12 pieces of book pages, found pages, card stock, card board, watercolor paper, old art work (anything that can be painted!)
  
• something to use as a palette (I usually use card stock or watercolor paper)
• a roll of paper towels OR old rags
• waxed paper (to prevent your pages from sticking together)
• a container for your paint water
• your favorite paint brushes
• palette knives
• 01 Mini Catalyst Tool (no worries if you don't have one) 
• your favorite acrylics (I'll include a list of my favorites when you sign up.) 
• Mark making tools such as: paint markers, water soluble pencils, water soluble crayons, etc...
