Some things are made to stay with you.

I haven't stopped thinking about Enrique Martinez Celaya's The Faithful since I saw it recently at USC's Fisher Museum in Los Angeles. I remember thinking about it as I closed my eyes to go to sleep late that night and waking up to the image of it burned into my head the next morning. This towering painting of the moon glowing full and bright staring down at you over a field of flowers that is somehow more than a painting, perhaps, even more beautiful than the moon itself.

There is much to ponder about this body of work and to pour over in the accompanying catalogue. I know that whatever I have to say won't do it the justice that it deserves.

I wanted to share the information about Enrique Martinez Celaya's work so that those of you living in Southern California can hopefully get to experience it in person.
