Reading Francis Bacon Revelations

I've read several books on the painter Francis Bacon but none quite like this. It's not just because it's a massive 800 plus page tome but the book already has a different feel to it. It's been keeping me up at night even after I've put it down. 

(My only complaint so far is that I wish they had used thicker paper. For the price (and I picked it up second hand), the paper feels cheap.)
