For the Creative and Curious: Uppercase at 50!

I've been singing the praises of Uppercase magazine since issue #1. Recently, publisher Janine Vangool put out a call asking those of us who've subscribed to every issue (or close to it) if we were interested in being in the magazine. A chance to be in my favorite magazine? Thoughtful questions? Yes, please!

Thank you to Janine, who is a one woman powerhouse publisher!
Thank you to the artists and writers of each and every one of the FIFTY issues. You've provided me with YEARS worth of things to think and dream about. You've enriched my life and you've given me so much more than I can ever put into words.

How exciting, Kelly! You certainly deserve the article. I just ordered this issue. I've been cutting out my magazine subscriptions, but maybe I'll be hinting for a subscription as a birthday or Christmas gift. Congrats to you!!!

I received my copy of Uppercase several days ago and had not opened it yet. I'm in the midst of moving household from Texas to Idaho permanently, so needless to say have my hands full. I was saving the Uppercase as a treat after the house is shown and the POD packed next week. Late last night I read your post, and I immediately ripped that baby open and took a look & read your interview. So excited for you! I love those featured pages, and one of my favorite of yours is those giant scissors. The chair is another, well all the chairs you have painted actually. So now the mag is back safely in it's kraft envelope and I will delve into it further next week. Congrats on being featured and also owning every single issue. I have saved every one since I subscribed several years ago, but certainly do not have them all. I sure do treasure them and look at them over and over.
