Quarantine Journal January 2021

I bound a new journal at the end of December and began work on the covers on the 1st of January. 

I struggled with the direction. I began by using colors I don't usually reach for as well as trying to create different textures.

Unfortunately,  I neglected to take photos of every step. When the pink showed up, it suddenly hit me with the direction it needed to go. 

More on the pink petals here (I ended up destroying this journal. I kept two pages and will paint over and rebind the journal in the future. I would still like to make a journal dedicated to my day in Auvers sur Oise.)

Journal I made from hardcover book and 100 lb Accent Opaque cardstock size 9 3/4 x 16" opened
