Remembering

Four years have gone by fast. You are always in our hearts and on our minds. It still hurts as I know it always will.

I use you as an example often, asking myself, what would my Father have done? How can I borrow what was the best of him and continue to put that love out into the world? How can I show the love and goodness that says (at times), I am my Father's daughter? He was not a saint (far from it) but he was good to his daughters and he treated his friends like family. He had a smile and kind words for strangers he would meet on the street. He was constantly running into friends no matter where he was (in Boston or on the other side of the world.) This is what I want, to learn his kindness, his openness and how to make people feel loved and cared for.

We love and miss you, Daddy. Always.

Such a beautiful picture! You're already like him. You touch so many lives in your teaching, online and in person. Through your blog and on social media. You've made such a difference in mine by teaching me to make something meaningful and beautiful starting years ago when I was at a low point in my life after finding out I had Fibromyalgia. I'm so happy I found your blog that night when I searched for art journaling. I was amazed at what I saw and still am today.

Your Dad passed his gift on to you, the ability to touch lives, share a smile and make people feel like friends. Thinking about you today. Lifting your family up in my prayers.

Thanks for sharing! Lost my Dad back in January 2012...He was an inspiration and a guide for me, in so many ways.
