More Questions and Waiting
David saw the urologist yesterday. The urologist removed the catheter but David is still bleeding so I have to call and ask what we should do. Last time after surgery it took him a month to stop bleeding. His urologist also put in a request for a second opinion but it depends on our insurance. David's urologist said he really thinks that it is a tumor and that he wants to remove the kidney and the surrounding area. He also told David that the kidney is not functioning 100% so it's not like it's completely healthy. Then, there is the issue of the prostate which is an entirely different matter to deal with. David is still on meds for that but there is a good chance that it may also require surgery. They are sending him to a cardiologist to run tests before the surgery to check his heart to make sure it is strong enough to handle the surgery.
What does all of this mean? More waiting. Next appointment is mid April for urologist unless the second opinion is approved or he says something about the bleeding when I call today.
The surgery they want to do scares the hell out of me. It's called a radical nephrectomy. Don't google it like I did last week. I'm trying not to think about it until I absolutely have to and the date is on the calendar.
If anyone needs me, I'll be either hugging my husband or when he's sleeping, in my art journal. The piled up dishes and laundry can wait.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sending hugs,

I am sorry to hear that no definite diagnosis has been explained to you and David. Maybe you need to get a second and third opinion from other physicians. I have embarked on my own for just the piece of mind in knowing exactly what other physicians find and their professional opinion on how to move forward.
Thinking of you.
