What I'm Reading

Looking through my piles of books yesterday, I was looking for something that called to me. I wanted a book that pulled me in. I ended up deciding on Traveler of the Century by Andres Neuman and saving The Mandarins by Simone de Beauvoir for next time. 

So far, I'm really enjoying Traveler of the Century. It is a weighty tome at almost five hundred pages but I'm eager to see how things go with it. I wish I could remember who recommended it (I'm thinking that it was on BrainPickings as they tend to get me into trouble with adding books to my pile.)
