On the Road Again


Waiting for my road trip buddy, Connie, to show up. We're loading up the car and trekking to Frenzy Stamper. I'm looking forward to seeing Debbie and the gang. 

I just finished writing my daily notes to Tristan. I've been writing them since he was little. Any time I have to leave for more than a day, I write him daily notes. I leave them with David and he gives Tristan one every day. I love that at 16, Tristan still asks for them.

The next time you hear from me, I'll be in Arizona!

Daily notes! REALLY?!!!! I thought I was weird, the only one ... my 22 year old still lives with us, Kevin ... I do the same thing, and tape it up on the door frame to his room either in the morning (before he's up), or while he's at work, using washi tape. He saves them all in a pile I'm not allowed to 'clean up' (throw out). He never fails to comment on the washi tape choice if (& only if) he thinks it's too girly (ha!) Very often, I find something for me in the mornings when I get up, too, even just something he's doodled and put on my laptop - he knows all of those that I scavenge go in my journal so now he just puts them within my reach! Very cool to know another mother does something similar - actually made me well up!
