13 January 2013 Journal Page

For the past few months, I've been trying to make room for more of the daily, little things that make me smile. Making a cup of hot black tea to sip while I am on the computer doing work, more daily journal time, more reading books and magazines, etc... I want less stress and worry of the things that aren't important. Funny how something big can make little things that once caused you big stress seem so insignificant.

I keep watching videos of the meteorite in Russia. Such an astounding, humbling, awe inspiring sight. It's weird how little of a reaction the drivers (whose dash cams are recording everything including the music that they're listening to) have to the sight of a white ball dancing across the sky. Considering the number of views some of these videos have on youtube, I'm not the only one who is fascinated.

it is all about taking life slowly to enjoy it, rather than the whirlwind it has become.
Savor it....good for you for trying to remember that.

First this page made my mouth drop open. You're a very talented lady like you didn't know that already. Second I understand what you mean. I have to give myself more time to just recover if I'm having a bad fibro pain day. Instead of laying in bed or in the recliner and getting mad because I can't do what I want I read, leave positive messages for others and try to do some good with that time. Good for you. We can't get our time back.

I keep looking at the videos too. It's unbelievable that it happened. It just goes to show that we are not as protected as we once thought. And note to self, if I see a bright light get under a blanket if I'm at home. Have a good Sunday.

I've just discovered your blog (yay!) - and yes, it's so nice to have those "little things" that make you smile.

I've spent a lot of time with death lately (parents, in-laws...sibs...) and at one point, while living in a rental in FL and taking care of my hubby's terminal aunt - his niece noticed the art journal I started in your class. She was disappointed that all the pages weren't filled!

Here's to life, and that journal is close to being full! I'll pour a cup of tea tomorrow and send a bright cloud of THANK YOU your way!
