The Classes in
Detail:
Telling Your
Truth
Create your own unique
hardcover journal in this four hour workshop. You’ll assemble and bind a book
from scratch picking from a variety of handmade and decorative papers; learn a
variety of all new collage and journal exercises designed to get you to open up;
and create authentic journal pages that reflect your own thoughts, desires and
ideas.
Supply list:
scissors, small selection of favorite collage ephemera, bone folder, cork
back metal ruler, roll of waxed paper, roll of paper towels, permanent black
inkpad, container to hold water, 1" brushes to glue (I like chip or bristle
brushes) or a few of your favorite glue sticks
Moments
While we’ll begin this
class by creating a stunning portfolio, the main focus on the class is also
constructing a set of individualized art journal vision cards. We’ll be creating
a small deck of art cards layered with a myriad of collage, pen work and much,
much more! These cards can be used for art journaling, travel journaling,
scrapbooking, inspiration, vision boards and more! Inspiration at your
fingertips!

A Beautiful Necessity
Combine rich, lush layers of color, text and imagery to create this truly
unique vision of your own heart. The covers give the illusion of layers of
painted acrylics but we will not be using acrylic paints in this class. The
inside pages will be filled with a visual delight of texture, color, pattern
and more. This small but sturdy journal is perfect for daily, on the go use.
Think of the possibilities that you can pour into this journal at a moment’s
notice.

favorite glue sticks
Connections
With each new book we
create, we open ourselves up to a new possibility. We’ll be creating our own
wrapped cover journal while exploring the theme of connections (this will be
open to your own interpretation.) How do we take our favorite tools and use them
to connect our pages together, creating a unified connection that runs
throughout the pages of our journals? In this class we will be open to ideas
from each other as we work and share our own unique visions of art exploration
in the form of multi-layered collage work.

My Interior
Life
A book bound by your own
hand is a precious thing but what if it’s also a book that is full of your own
visions, thoughts and musings? In this unique workshop, we will be diving onto
the pages learning new collage techniques, pen work, layering ideas, journal
prompts and how to explore our own personal process of putting ourselves onto
paper. You will walk out of class with a bound journal with several completed
pages along with techniques and inspiration to fill them all!
