Here's how the page started with collage first and then various layers of paint were eventually added:

 

I'm taking a quick break to write this post and here's what the page looked like when I left it:

I'll be spending my Monday afternoon finishing up the rest of this book. After this page, there's only one page left in my Compendium of Visual Delights Journal. I'll show you the finished page soon.

 

I'm quite eager to teach this class! I haven't taught a painting class in a very long time. This is going to be unlike any previous painting class I've EVER taught (and I've taught a LOT of painting classes!) We'll be combining collage (paper, tape, etc...) with  acrylics, gouache and watercolor along with other mediums (pens, markers, stickers, tape, stencils, transparencies, rub-ons, watercolor crayons and more!) 

This is also the only mixed media painting and collage class that I have plans to teach at the moment. I have some other ideas on my plate that I want to focus on (that do not involve paint in any manner!)

I'll be debuting this class next weekend (June 1-3rd) in Fremont, CA. More info here. As of this post, there is still some room available.

I'll be teaching it locally in L.A. at Stampin from the Heart Sun and Mon, June 24th and 25th (they don't have the info on their blog yet, but you can call 310-391-0466 to sign up. The sample will be in the store sometime the first week in June.

I do not have plans to teach the class anywhere else at this time.
