15 April 2012 Journal Page

Here's another page where I used a Crafters Workshop stencil along with some Glaze and Souffle pens. The Glaze and Souffle pens have a tendency to bleed under the stencils. The trick when using them is to go really, really slow as you outline. I outline first, remove the stencil, let the ink dry and then color them in. Sometimes after I'm done coloring them in, I'll outline them again to make the line more dramatic or in case I've colored over the line that's already there. You can also outline with a fine tip pen (I love the .35 rapidosketch pen (I prefer the rapidosketch to the rapidograph) as well as the latte pens for this), remove the stencil, let the ink dry and color in with the Glaze, Souffle or any other pen.

I'm super excited to be teaching THREE classes this week:
You can find out more information here. Samples are in the stores and online.

Love this page. Thanks for the info on using the stencils. I've had the bleed through problem before but couldn't figure out how to do it right in my journal. I'm loving your new colors in your journal. So bright.

Great page Kelly. I really like your pages with the addition of paints on them now. Did you find a substitute paper yet by the way? I saw the posting on Facebook about Wasau.
