Tonight was my first night of teaching at AU 2011. I taught my Addicted to Tape class. I hope that my students enjoyed it as much as I loved teaching it. I always get a kick out of seeing how the ideas translate in other people's heads out onto their pages. I love Art Unraveled! It's such a wonderful, sharing group of people. I've been teaching at AU since the beginning and it's always nice to see familiar faces (and meet new ones!)

Above is the last page in my journal (I'll have a slideshow up for it in late August probably.) The paper placemat pulled out is a drawing David did while we waited for our food at the Spaghetti Factory. David always does the most amazing drawings. I like to save them (I have him date them as well.) I folded it up and taped it into my journal.

I'm so down with that, saving those things our husbands do. Mine, Double BB, is dyslexic beyond belief [when it comes to reading/writing, not #s] so let me tell ya, I may have a total of 4 samples of his handwriting (directed to me) from the 25+ years we've been together - writing that goes beyond his name signed to a card I mean. Every single one is laminated then inside an envelope in a journal.

Great class--learned a lot about tape, which is a totally new medium for me. I guess I'll have to find a place to put all the tape I now plan to buy!
