Scraps!
One of my favorite things to do is to sort through my box of scraps, carefully selecting what stays and what goes. Whenever I find that I'm in a rut, I force myself to sit down and make pages using just these scraps.
Also, my scrap box doesn't get any bigger than this. I will often go through it when it starts to get too big.
I also have been known to fill a small baggie with these scraps and a handful of focal images, grab a couple of glue sticks, some favorite pens (usually my black .35 rapidograph along with my sweets and lattes), and my journal for on the go art making in small places. Comic Con is next month and you can bet that I'll have a small journal and the above mentioned goodies with me. Can't wait!
I have one class left this month. I'll be teaching my Love Story Journal at Zinnia in So Pasadena this Saturday. Sample is in the store and online. This is the class that many of you asked about and it is only scheduled one other day (Fri, July 1st) in So CA, so catch it while you can! More info here.
Happy Monday, folks!

(Or I could get off my lazy duff and drive to LA, I know...but oh man do I hate driving!)
I would love to teach at Paper Tales! I have heard very good things about the store. :) I haven't taught in San Diego in a long time.
