Sad news

I read on Christine Clemmensen's blog last night that Elsebeth Gynther passed away. I never met, nor spoke with Elsebeth and yet her work touched me. Both Elsebeth and Christine co-wrote the book, Scraps: An Inspirational Field Guide to Collage. It's one of the few how to books that I kept in my recent purging of books. Scraps is well written and the art is inspiring. I'm very saddened by her death. The art community has lost a few good souls in recent weeks. I couldn't let Elsebeth's death go unmentioned. Christine has a wonderfully written tribute here.

Somehow, SCRAPS and its authors slipped past me. I appreciate your mentioning it here and giving us a link to learn more about a creative woman who will clearly be missed.

Oh, yes, I am enjoying these before and afters! And, I am really glad that I am not the only person who does this. Sometimes, an awful lot ends up covered up, but like you, I enjoy the bits that peek through.
