Tristan started his first day of school yesterday (same online school as last year). So far, so good. I'm irked that they have the kids go back before Labor Day. It frustrates me that the school system doesn't want kids to be kids.

Yesterday was also the last day of the Film Noir screenings that we've been attending Monday nights since it started (sadly, we did miss a few films when I had to go out of town to teach). It was an amazing chance to see several of our favorites on the big screen. Tristan is bummed that we missed the ending of the Adventures of Captain Marvel serial. We wanted to find out if our guess was correct on who The Scorpion was! We are hoping that the Academy does something like this again.

I drooled over that book in Anthropologie and nearly brought it home. Glad I waited...almost half price on Amazon than what it was in Anthropologie! I will be getting it!
