My sister sent me this blog post about John Hughes and his correspondence with a young girl who was a fan of his movies. I can't think of one person in my age group who wasn't influenced in some way by his films.

This is one of my favorite clips, from Pretty In Pink which Hughes wrote. Who wasn't in love with Duckie?
