My etsy order from Nothingelegant arrived today. Yay!! Lots of tape. She's a great vendor-ships FAST and great communication. I have ordered several times from her before.

In sad news, I lost another store yesterday. Stampers Warehouse in Danville, CA-my Northern California store-sent out an email saying that they are closing this week. I am heartbroken and very, very upset about it. As a friend and I were saying, it feels like someone died. I've been teaching at that store for several years now, often traveling there two or three times a year. I am now looking for another store-or two-in the Northern California area to teach at. I don't know how I can get by-mentally-without a sanity trip to Northern CA at least once or twice a year. You guys know how much I LOVE it up there. I love love love my students up there and I adore the area!! So, if anyone has any recommendations, I would sincerely appreciate them. If anyone wants to pass along my contact information to any potential places, I would very much appreciate it!!

I have one more question for you and then I'll leave you alone. lol

Where do you find all the great images you use in your journals? I like to use a lot of magazine cutouts, but I don't find nearly as many great images in them as I see in your journal pages.

Hi Mindy,
I had a whole post and now I can't find it..I recommend going to your local bookstore and going through all of the various magazine sections-make a pile of what you like and then go through them. I buy magazines, books, online searches, and I take my own photos. I've been collecting for eons, too. ;)

Hi Kelly, so sad that another scrapbook store has gone here in Northern Ca. I suggest you come teach at Scrapbook Territory in Berkeley. I teach there and its a FANTASTIC store and the owner Diane is a sweetheart. If you need any help or other recommendations, email me!

How do you even get started teaching? I've had many people ask if I've taught, but no store owners, etc have asked, and I feel odd just going up and asking. Any tips?

Hi Kira,
I've been teaching for about 12 years now. It's a long story and I'm on the hotel computer..email me or ask me again next week-lol, short term memory ;) and I'll tell you the whole story and my whole adventure. Hell, maybe I can even do a blog post about it, if people are interested.
It's a roller coaster-this teaching life...and you have to WANT to do it. Don't do it because someone else wants you to do it...
