What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for more than twenty years. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

April 14, 2009 journal page

Don't take offense of this page. I made it the other day after spending a couple of days with my back acting up again and just feeling full body pain. The anger is directed at the pain. I couldn't even hold a book up without being sore. I just laid in bed wondering how in the hell did Frida Kahlo, and others, how the hell does someone just lie there without going bonkers? Amazing souls people like that are and much better people then I ever will be...

Julie in San Francisco posted THIS story on her blog yesterday. She needs HELP NOW *please* for Kelaya and her children. Please read here. If you know anyone or a shelter that may be able to help, please speak up. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!!!

So sorry you have been hurting. I am hoping you are feeling a bit better by now.
Pain can be such a demoralizing thing, filled with frustration and feelings of weakness. Be kind and gentle with yourself and give your body the time it needs to heal without worrying about the to-do list.
Also the page is beautiful-honest.

Wishing you everything good, beautiful and happy-Sharyn:)

I'm not offended at ALL. I love it. I know pain all too well and that journal page would fit right in one of my books perfectly on many a day!
