Tristan and I had a great time yesterday with our cousin, Bev. She was kind enough to take us shopping at a few stores. Our first stop was Annie's Book Stop in Sharon where I found a book I'd been looking for for a while! I used to visit Annie's (in various locations) all of the time and was very happy to see that they are still around!!! It's a great shop to find used (and new) books in stock at great prices (mostly fiction).

Next stop was Artbeat in Franklin:

What a fun, funky little art store! There's a space in the back where you can have space to create (with various projects to choose from). I bought some single sheets of Decopatch paper, a couple of pencils and a felted ring. It was fun looking through the various items...I really wanted the Buddha Board but it was outside of my budget at the moment! They also have some cool felting kits (the bird one I was drooling over online is out of stock but due back in soon...). I am itching to try my hands at needle felting. Here's the view from outside of the store. Cute, huh?? The weather was AWESOME so I can imagine what it would be like to pick up a couple of goodies and sit out here and play in my journal...

We also stopped at the Commodities Market in Wrentham, MA but didn't buy anything...It was fun walking around there though with Bev! The last time I had been in there was with my Aunt Sis (Bev's Mother).

We also stopped at Annie's Book Stop in Plainville. I didn't buy anything here, but I was *very* tempted!!!!

Across the street from Annie's was Carol's Den...I almost walked out without buying anything..then I spotted tiny little bird figurines. Cheep! Cheap! ;) $2.50 to 3.50 each, I bought a couple of them.

Bev took us back to her house for a wee bit to rest and relax. She was also kind enough to pull out some family pictures for me to look through. I took a few that she had extras of:
She also totally made my day (a thousand and one thank you's Bev!!) by giving me (and my sister) some of our Nana Smith's hand knitted Christmas ornaments. I LOVE the one that she added a paperclip to the bottom to use as the skating blade!!!! Check out the vintage icicles too. I LOVE them!!!
Here are some more ornaments...Nana did a ton of knitting. I always loved her Christmas display. My favorite pieces (in addition to the gorgeous tree filled with handmade ornaments), i also loved her little glass glitter houses (wish I had those!) and her ice skating rink (a round, flat object covered with tinfoil) with the little skating figurines. Her deer and Santa Claus would also make me smile. I miss Nana, but the memories live on in us...
Later we picked up my Aunt Sis and went to my sister's house in Sharon where we met my Mom. Ate pizza (picked up) from Pizzigando. YUM. Two thumbs up! (David, you would LOVE it.) Erin also picked up half moon cookies which are THE BEST dessert EVER. None of that 'hard frosting' crap here...all soft and fluffy REAL frosting. Two frosted thumbs up! I always need at least one half moon (or black and white) cookie while I'm here...(In addition to the cookie, I also splurge and eat (obviously not all in one sitting) but a reeses peanut butter cup sundae from Friendlys, pan seared scallops and Chinese food...all my east coast faves...)

I'm all ready for my classes tomorrow at Ink About It!! I'm really looking forward to it!!!!

Would it be okay if I lived in your suitcase? I LOVE all the places you go and people you see and classes you teach and stores you shop.... *sigh*
