Kelly - I applaud you! Your social consciousness and willingness to speak out as an artist and a citizen are examples we all need to hold high - thank you for reminding me that as artists we have a powerful voice that needs to be used - we must speak out when there is injustice in the world, in our city, in our neighborhood and in our homes - if we stay silent we become part of the problem rather than part of the solution - Sean Bell never had a chance that night - and every mother of every black boy in America fears this will happen to her son one night - this is not the America that the Constitution speaks of - and sadly it is not the America that the sons of white women live - when will we learn? thank you Kelly for speaking out through your art - xo reva
