Damn good mail days:

Yesterday my order from One Good Bumblebee arrived! I ordered the Come Along weekly planner, 3 piles of paper and 3 mini piles of paper. I was oohing and ahhing over everything!! I love the way it was all packaged (very cute!!) and how the papers almost fit perfectly in this box that my friend Roseann made for me! FYI, Katey at One Good Bumblebee also has a cool blog. One thing you need to know, Katey is a one woman enterprise so please be patient for your order to arrive, it will be well worth it when it does!!!

I ventured out with my friend Kara yesterday to Pulp in L.A. (didn't buy anything) and Paper Source in Beverly Hills. We had tons of fun and lots of laughs! I found some paper, rub ons and also the new Kate T. Williamson book, At a Crossroads. I love her drawings. I read most of the book last night and am eager to go back and pick it up again. Her use of color and line are fabulous!!

I also took Tristan to B & N after school and picked up
Lotta Prints by Lotta Jansdotter. I have to admit that I didn't buy it for the "how to" but for the bits of inspiration that are sprinkled through out. I would love a whole book like the inspiration bits that are in this little tome. Definitely worth checking out though when you are in the bookstore!

I peeked out the peephole of the door today and oh total squeal! Packages! TWO of them.

Part one of my tape order came today!! Woo hoo! I have tape coming from two sources. This is the stash that I ordered off of etsy from a vendor called "From Japan with Love". I love this tape!! She shipped fast and everything was well packaged. I would definitely order from her again. I LOVE her blog-definitely well worth checking out!!!

The other package was from amazon, the book Fashion Wonderland. I've only flipped through it, but I can tell it's going to earn a good place on my bookshelf! There's been a slew of these kinds of books coming out lately and I usually like to peruse them at the bookstore before I buy. Thanks to Barnes & Noble's new policy of not ordering books for customers and bringing them into the store (they now want to ship them directly to your home and will not bring them into the store for you to pick up unless they already have the book on order), I am having a hard time finding some of the books that I am looking for to "scope out" before I buy. I don't like to buy something sight unseen unless I am a huge fan of that person's work. I also try to support the local Mom & Pop bookstores instead of buying at the chains and amazon. I want the new Howard Zinn book (saw it yesterday) but will wait and buy it from one of my favorite bookstores, Skylight Books in Los Feliz.

I'm teaching this weekend-Saturday in Thousand Oaks at Staci's home (doing my About Face workshop) and Sunday at Stampin From The Heart in L.A. (teaching my brand new "Fukoro Toji" book). I will try to update the blog over the weekend, but if I don't, you know where I am!

Yeah, Packages! I got mine today thank you very much. Now if I could just do the cool stuff you do with paper I would be styling! The stamps were perfect too!
