We have new neighbors. They moved in last night, at 12:20 A.M. to be more precise.
Yup. Sounds promising already, eh? Last night I was all cozy in bed and thoroughly enjoying Julie Doucet's book which I think is the best book of 2008 so far:when I started to hear a helluva lot of weird noise. Our "Favorite neighbor" has disappeared for over a week. I hope he is sleeping with the fishes or something that keeps him far away. Well, the apartment right next to ours has been vacant for a couple of months. David and Tristan thought they saw people moving in last Saturday. Yet, the whole place was untouched all this week (flyers in the door can tell you lots about whether people are coming or going or not.) Any ways, last night starting at 12:20 A.M., David and I laid in bed and listened to the noises of people lugging things noisily up the stairs for a couple of hours. Then at 2:45 a.m. it sounded like they went from moving things INTO their apartment to moving things AROUND their apartment. They decided to start storing stuff in their closet-which is located right behind OUR closet...and our closet is a mere few feet from our heads as we sleep. David wonders why I slept until 10:30 this morning.
Sounds promising, huh? *sigh*

Well, maybe these people moved from a ways away and couldn't start moving until after work? When I moved from San Jose to San Francisco, it took professional movers EIGHT HOURS to move me ... imagine if I had started at 5 pm! Okay, or they are selfish jerks. But, you know, there might still be hope.
Me thinks we'll be reading blog entries about the new neighbours in a few weeks.
:)
I can only pray these people are clean, quiet and peaceful.
