Some people go to Vegas and are happy to win at gambling, look what I won:Ain't it cool? An Eddie Campbell drawing describing how he feels about Free Comic Book Day (and I'm sure he's NOT alone). Needless to say, I'm psyched.
I had a GREAT group teaching at Las Vegas Art Stamps. There are lots of talented artists in that area-I had 'em all in classes this weekend!!
Mom, Erin (my sister), Marc (her hubby), Tristan and I had a great time staying at The Embassy Suites off the strip. I didn't have time to do all that much but I did get to go to Bahama Breeze (restaurant) and have the best milkshake of my life (Dreyers ice cream with strawberries-it was freakin' amazing). We also hit "Paris" and walked the strip a bit Saturday night.
Well, we left Vegas only to come home to heat, heat and more heat. Ugh ugh ugh. I hate when it gets this hot. I will be laying low after doing my errands and saying au revoir for a month to Mom (she is going to Colorado with me next month) and my sister & bro in law.
I did spend the car ride to and fro journaling in my little book and reading the latest Cloth Paper Scissors and Somerset Life. Fun Fun Fun. Oh, and did you know that some cars rented from Thrifty have Sirius radio on 'em? THAT was cool. I want one of those for the ride to Colorado.
Stay cool everyone...more later.

Sounds like a groovy time :)
Don't melt.
It is even hot here on the coast. Ugh is right!
Of course, I sort of zoned out after reading Dreyers ice cream with strawberries.
Jolene, I'm trying really hard not to melt. I'm *really* wishing I bought gas earlier when it was cooler but I was trying to be a "good daughter" and not waste the last day of my Mom's vacation on getting gas and doing errands LOL
They're at the airport now and it's almost 97 frickin' degrees now here. Damnit!
I had my best Dreyer's milkshake on Catalina Island. It revived me it was so good.
I forgot to mention that because of you - when I went to Scottsdale earlier this month - I shopped at the stamp store and told the lady that YOU sent me there.
