Blogger is being tempermental at the moment! I can't post photos...I will post photos as soon as I can!!! In the meantime, I'm blaming it on the damn moths (scroll down for more moth updates).

Here are some more of my "From the Shelf" Treasures:

Bill Koeb is one of my favorite artists. Like Barron Storey, I'm always keeping my eyes open for his artwork. I remember squealing with delight when I found ReMemory, a FULL book of his artwork at Meltdown Comics during our weekly "trek". It still is one of my favorites.

I'll never forget Comic-Con one year (several years ago) as we had walked all day up and down the aisles over and over again (we do a quickie run Wednesday for the 3 hour "preview" and then we do the WHOLE show on Thursday-and I mean the WHOLE show!). So, we're walking and walking and walking and it's getting close to "that time" (closing time) and I haven't found anything *anything* that I was like "OMG OMG this is new! I need it!" until I turn into the second to last aisle and there he is in full glory. Greg Spalenka. Holy shit. FULL artwork. Books. Postcards. It was like I went nuts (ok it wasn't that bad but my jaw dropped and I told the husband to "Move along, dear, come back for me...") I bought Ornithopter Annual 2002 that day and I can't tell you how many friends I've gifted with copies. It's not just a magazine, it's so much more. AND, it's not just Spalenka that is in it! LOTS of really cool artwork.

Last but definitely not least, Squeak Carnwath. Squeak Carnwath's Lists, Observations & Counting is one of those books that you could just wrap yourself in it's pages. FYI, don't go to Amazon for it. Check out the link I put in to her site as the book is on sale and available until May 9th only!! I love her use of symbols and imagery, the layers and the depths of the colors. I'd love to see one of her paintings in person. I'd love to see her journal, if she keeps one (LOL). Wow.

Oh, I found out that I'm not alone with the abundance of Moths From Hell. They're all over Los Angeles. There was one in the store with me tonight (little bastard was probably looking for my bathrobe). So I'm happy to say, I don't "personally" have an infestation in my home-ha ha ha, that I'm not alone. So on your next visit to L.A. and you see naked people walking around. Blame it on the moths.

Did you hear about the missing bees and cell phones?
How about the new postal rate for magazines that will put most small press OOB. You can sign the online petition here.

aargh! dang it kelly! you just cost me 45 bucks!!!
I was interested when you said to blame it on the moths. Over here in Oz, moths stand for "man of the house" :)
We do have the flying moths as well though.
