What You'll Find Here

I post daily (photos of my journal pages, things that inspire me and personal bits and pieces) to inspire and encourage others. I have always believed that if I can do it, so can you.

You'll find resources (my favorite supplies, books, slideshows of my art journal pages, favorite bloggers, etc...) listed along the right hand side of my blog.

I've been teaching both in person and online workshops for almost twenty years now. You can find out more about my classes by scrolling down along the right hand side of my blog. I strive to make classes accessible to everyone (both beginner to advanced).

I love teaching and truly believe that deep down inside everyone is an artist, capable of creating something. There is power and knowledge in the act of creating something with your own hands, made from your own heart and head.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email me at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net

Thanks for stopping by!

Star Wars, Doctor Who and Comic Con

I think that it's rather amusing that I'm posting the above photo at this time. I can remember exactly where I was and what I was doing while I made the page. David, Tristan and I were in line to get into Hall H at San Diego Comic Con. It was David's birthday, a Friday night and just as I finished the page, the Star Wars concert started up where we were camped out with a few thousand of our closest friends. We didn't have tickets to the concert but everyone waiting in that area could hear it, see the screens where the cast and crew walked out and waved and we all appreciated the fireworks.

Last night, David and I stood outside of the theatres in Hollywood to watch the cast and crew walk the red carpet at the Star Wars premiere. The Force Awakens debuts this week and the internet is all abuzz about it. I'll be getting my geek on this Friday.

The above page makes me smile as it's all about our encounter with Peter Capaldi aka The Doctor.

Housekeeping:

I have five collage grab bags and three art supply grab bags left. You can find them here. I also have art journals available here. I have a small amount of collage sheets here. I will be updating my art books for sale within the next week (sorry that it has taken me so long to do so.) If anyone is looking for gift certificates, I can make them up for in person or online classes, just drop me an email.

Gotta love the new Star Wars, although I'm not a fan of the others and who doesn't love Doctor Who? And Comic Con = Geek central <3
