The Decorative tape Post

I've posted where to find tape before, but since it's a frequently asked question, I thought I'd post again!

The sad thing is, this isn't half of what I have-these are old photos. Addiction, anyone?
If you want tape just for you-

Go to ebay, google or etsy. Type in kawaii tape, japanese tape, decorative tape, packing tape, packaging tape, cute tape-everything you can possibly think of to describe tape. LOTS of stuff comes up. Seriously.

Another thing you NEED to know, is that it's not always called TAPE. Some people call tape STICKERS or STICKER. They also say you can cut out what you want. So, sometimes on etsy and other sites you need to search for STICKER as well.

Ginko Papers-decorative tape AND masking tape an online store in L.A.!

Tapeswell is a company whom I LOVE!! They sell retail and wholesale. I LOVE their tape.
Their label tape is awesome too. I used their tape on my journal page here:
http://kellykilmer.blogspot.com/2009/02/home-from-arizona-and-frenzy-stamper.html
Tapeswell has extended a 15% off of your entire purchase (minimum $10) to readers of my blog if you use the coupon code KELLY when ordering.

Frenzy Stamper in Scottsdale, AZ sells Tapeswell, Prima Marketing and MT Masking Tape.

Zinnia in So Pasadena, CA sells Tapeswell and various other brands of tape.

Prima Marketing-search for Tape-I LOVE their tape especially the words, and polka dots

Washimatta-another favorite vendor/source for masking tape!

Pretty Tape-another etsy vendor I love!

From Japan with Love is one of my most favorite vendors/sources

as is RetroNana in Shanghai another one of my favorite vendor/sources

as is NothingElegant in Korea

as is lovepetitzakka in Japan

as is Wendystory in Korea

Some other sites including wholesale sites-

Accoutrements tape (Devil duckie, cowboy, cat, Jesus, Bacon, and a few more) google accoutrements tape-lots of places sell them.

NPW in England is the manufacturer of the zipper, barbed wire, chain, bullet, daisy and some more tape.

Around the Block has COOL tape-I wish they would make the black easier to FIND.

Lace tape in b & w-takes a few weeks though

Redhorseshoe

Azumi and David-fun stuff! Body tape and garment tape!!

checkered color tape

scissors

French co: Shut up, wood tape, python tape, tinsel tape

Dedece-various tapes including road, train, rivet and more. Type in tapes

Babosarang I *wish* I could order from this company

The Tape Depot
-custom made tape and more! Not sure about the prices though!! Any site where you have to ask makes me leery!

Fancy That!
-rolls available single or double variety packs

10x10-type in tape

In L.A., Soap Plant/wacko sells tape-woo hoo! They are in the store, under the paper racks in little baskets.

Supermarket-has cool rope and chain tape

Flair Designs-they call it 'ribbon style paper trim'

Hambly has stickers that are tape like
-I LOVE their products

Making Memories also has stickers that are tape like-very fun!

Rob Ryan tape

The Spoon Sisters

Our Children's Gorilla

Fred Flare

Design within Reach has also sold really cool masking tape in their stores and online from time to time. The company they carry is called mt masking tape. DWR carries three different kinds-the two packs of 10 with different colors and the multi pack of 20 thin tapes. Various online sources for this MT tape are popping up. Etsy has a ton of them in stock as does Arlyna's Closet.

A whole blog on tape!

If you have any other sources on tape, please email me at EGorey99 (at) sbcglobal.net
(take the at out and replace it with @, it's to block spam bots)
or post here in the comments!!!-thanks!~

I missed this post first time around. Nothing Elegant is my favourite tape source -- that "vintage book" masking tape is so cool. And pricey. My order came to a hundred bucks and came in a little tiny mailing bag.But still very very worth it.

I love the name of one of the stores you list. Babosarang literally means "stupid love" in Korean. Unfortunately, that is nearly the only part of their website I can read. Maybe one of your other Korean sources could get tape from them. Too bad Retronana moved to Shanghai. She has actually gone out to Insadong to buy handmade paper for me before.

Hi Kelly - My stash (and art journaling) is much enhanced by your generous source-sharing. I have a question about Fancy This tape. I ordered some almost a month ago; the payment posted in my account two days later but so far the order status remains "pending review". I sent a query email last week and have received no response. Am conscious that this is a small company and life-factors may have impinged on the business flow so I don't want to take an adversarial position until I'm sure there isn't an unavoidable reason for the silence. If you have a contact point other than the customer sales email addy would you consider sharing it with me?

Hi Acey,

I wish I knew. I've bought their tape in person via store fronts but never from their online site. I would try sending them another email. If you don't receive a response, contact your credit card company. In the meantime, I will see if I can find a phone number from one of my store owner friends... if you want to email me at EGorey99 AT sbcglobal DOT net
so I have your email addy and can email you the phone # if I get it.

I cannot say thank you enough for this post!! I am addicted to tape and have been lamenting the fact that no one anywhere near me sells cool tape (besides a few different colors of masking tape and duct tape). You have made my day!!! Thank you, thank you! PS-I am drooling over your tape collection. You can never have enough.
