Color Notes: Luscious Layers 2026
PAINTING WORKSHOP
SATURDAY, JANUARY 24TH, 2026
11 AM - 1 PM PST
Special pricing $35
(this is NOT an art journaling or collage class. This is so you can see my use of color, shape, and texture in my work)
This is the workshop you keep asking for.
Spend two hours creating a pile of luscious and rich papers in colors YOU use and love.
If you like my use of color, my painted backgrounds, and playing with paint, this is the workshop for you.
This is not a collage or an art journaling workshop.
Nor is this a paint a motif workshop.
This is a make your backgrounds SING with color workshop.
This is a get messy, push and layer color workshop.
This is a texture to the max workshop.
This is inspiring, fresh, and fun.
It doesn't matter if you're
new or a longtime artist, this workshop is all about paint and layering
color and there's something for everyone.
Supplies:
- A small pile of paper or things to paint on (cardstock, journal pages, old scrapbook papers, old uncoated book covers/pages, cardboard, etc....)
- Acrylic paint -a handful of colors of your choice
- Tools: paint brushes (one large brush, a couple of detail brushes), palette knives, any other tools you have on hand
- Water in your water bucket, blue shop towels/rags/paper towels
- One water soluble mark making tool of your choice.
Can't make the live workshop?
The
main part of my workshops are always recorded. For those who are camera
shy, during the main part of the workshop I am pinned and students are
muted (but, encouraged to unmute and ask questions!)
Additionally,
before and after the session, there is time for students to ask
questions, share, and engage with each other and me, WHILE NOT BEING
RECORDED.
You'll receive a special link and an extensive class handout within 2 days after the workshop ends.
You'll also have access to me should you have any questions AFTER the workshop ends.
Enrollment for the live workshop is limited.
I like to keep the group small so everyone has time to ask questions and share.
Questions? Please email Kelly at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net
How do I sign up?
I hope to see you there.
