What is The Art Life? TAL offers options for everyone. It's a creative smorgasbord. Part art school, part mentorship, part old-fashioned artist salon. You choose what, when, and how you participate. Both live sessions and recordings are available. If you miss a session, no worries because it will be available almost immediately, as a recording. Everything is work at your own pace. This means you do not have to participate in everything offered. You can dip in and out, taking what you need, and sharing if or when you want to.
Every month we will explore a different idea/theme/motif through a variety of media.
(think: portrait, still life, landscape, and more)
I'll offer lessons, examples, prompts and more designed to spark you in your art journey.
(you do not need to have ANY art experience. To be human is to be constantly learning and evolving, to challenge yourself. My workshops are ALL geared towards beginner to advanced unless otherwise noted. I believe we all have something to share and learn, no matter our degree of skill.)
Every month I offer you:
Three live gatherings
(the painting session, art journaling session, and parts of the salon will be available after the live sessions end as video recordings so you can work at your own pace)
- a live painting session
- a visual art journaling workshop
- a salon group mentoring session: where we meet to discuss and share what's working, what we're struggling with, and glean ideas for our own individual art practice
- a surprise monthly BONUS live session
- weekly hand-outs: creative exercises in drawing, painting, studies, journaling, gouache, collage, art history, and more.
- mentoring: You'll have an art teacher who responds personally to every question and post. I'll encourage you to ask questions and think about your own work in different ways.
- access to a full wealth of information in our library: recordings of previous live workshops, painting session, worksheets, and much, much more.
