It's no secret that I love color and pushing the boundaries of it.
Come play in the sandbox of color!
Frustrated with color? Eager to jumpstart your art? This workshop will get you picking up your paints and brushes again.
This isn't a color theory class. It's an EXPLORATION in COLOR.
Our
focus in this workshop won't be to create finished work. Instead, you
will spend time experimenting with color, creating sample pieces that
vibrate and feel alive. While our focus will be layering with acrylics,
you will be able to utilize these techniques across mediums. You will
create pages that sing with color.
Prepare to get messy, have fun, and embrace the rainbow!
Keep
your materials simple:
)- scrap paper/journal/substrate of choice
- tools: brushes, painting knife/catalyst tool/credit card paper towels, water container (to clean your brushes)
- paint (I'm using acrylic in a small handful of colors)
Upon registration, you'll receive an email with some ideas on how to prep for the workshop.
Can't make the live workshop?
The
main part of my workshops are always recorded. For those who are camera
shy, during the main part of the workshop I am pinned and students are
muted (but, encouraged to unmute and ask questions!)
Additionally,
before and after the session, there is time for students to ask
questions, share, and engage with each other and me, WHILE NOT BEING
RECORDED.
You'll receive a special link and an extensive class handout within 2 days after the workshop ends.
You'll also have access to me should you have any questions AFTER the workshop ends.
Enrollment for the live workshop is limited.
I like to keep the group small so everyone has time to ask questions and share.
