Plant Your Flowers: a Paint & Play Workshop

NEW DATE: Saturday, May 24
11 AM - 1 PM PDT

 $65

REGISTRATION IS LIMITED

To plant flowers means to think of tomorrow. It reminds us of possibility. It gives us hope. It encourages us to dream and to work towards something brighter and better.

Come plant your flowers but in paint, pencil, crayon.

It doesn't matter your experience level.
All are welcome.

We'll discuss how artists throughout history have been mesmerized by the beauty, form, and idea of planting, flowers, and gardens.

This is a process based workshop whose goal isn't to create a finished product. Rather, our focus will be on idea generating and to spark something different and fresh in our own work. We will discuss a variety of containers for our work: from decks of cards, to art journal pages, to art in our walls, and beyond.

This workshop is full of possibility and encouragement.

I do hope to see you soon.

Keep your materials simple
  • paint (I'm using acrylic in a handful of colors)
  • brushes and a painting knife
  • my journals/scraps of paper
  • paper towels
  • water
  • pencils
  • crayons
  • You may choose more or less in your own toolkit.

Upon registration, you'll receive an email with some ideas on how to prep for the workshop

Can't make the live workshop?*

The main part of my workshops are always recorded. Please note: for those who are camera shy, during the main part of the workshop I am pinned and students are muted (but, encouraged to unmute and ask questions!) Additionally, before and after the session, there is time for students to ask questions, share, and engage with each other and me, WHILE NOT BEING RECORDED.

You'll receive a special link and an extensive class handout within 2 days after the workshop ends.

You'll also have access to me should you have any questions AFTER the workshop ends.

Enrollment for the live workshop is limited.

I like to keep the group small so everyone has time to ask questions and share.

Questions? Please email Kelly at EGorey99@sbcglobal.net
