File Under: Things I'll Never Forget
Some of the things that stick in my mind (to this day) from visiting Georgia O'Keeffe's home and studio in Abiquiu Fall 2016:
Her walking stick leaning against the wall. I'll never forget that.
The winding road that she could look down on. It became a painting, Winter Road.
Labels. Everywhere. On everything.
Her meticulously organized kitchen.
Rocks, rock and more rocks. She collected them.
Ladders.
Bones.
A library that I desperately wanted to see but was forbidden.
White.
Brown.
Space. Vast space.
