An Update
Home from teaching in Northern California. Full of gratitude. Thanks to my creative students and to Maria for hostessing. A trip to Maria's always fills my heart. Such good people.
Home again with two classes left on the horizon this weekend. Yes, San Diego and Los Angeles, I am looking at you. These are my last classes for a bit. If you are interested, please catch them while you can.
I have been trying hard not to think about it (while doing the best I can to make sure everything is done) but David's surgery is rapidly approaching. Today, we had the appointment with the second opinion urologist and he agreed that the kidney had to come out and soon. So, we keep our appointments. We do what makes us happy and sane (watch films, read books, take walks, laugh, make art) as we pull each other closer. Where are my paint brushes?!

I'm sending all the good healing energy I can to you & David & Tristan as you go through this challenge. My brother has been on dialysis 3 times a week for years now & I know how that wears him out. I'm hoping that David's surgery will keep him from having to face that. Hold each other close...and know so many of us are sending positive energy your way.

p.s. You don't have to publish this if you don't want to...just want you to know I'm thinking of you.
