Look Up

"Beauty is a form of genius - is higher, indeed, than genius, as it needs no explanation. It is of the great facts in the world like sunlight, or springtime, or the reflection in dark water of that silver shell we call the moon.”-Oscar Wilde
David and I were up late last night watching the lunar eclipse. It was hard to take your eyes off of it. Amazing how many folks were out walking (or bicycle riding or jogging) in our neighborhood between 11:50 p.m. and 2:38 a.m. and (sadly) how few of them looked to the stars.

I enjoyed your journal layout and saying. You did a great job with just a simple word. And I forgot to look last night so thank you for posting the partial eclipse. -con

DD and I were up watching it with you from MN. Spectacular to see and watch. Love looking at the night sky; no matter what the occasion or lack there of, star gazing is just one of those simple pleasures, it's free and so easy to do. And during the day, clouds and sunsets set my eyes to the horizon and sky. It's magical and really never the same twice. Everyone should look up once in awhile. It's good for the heart and soul.

Thank you, Con, for the kind words. :)

Thank you, Susie! I love that you wrote that you were watching it with me. I was thinking that last night. How many of us were looking towards the stars at the same moment. How connected we all truly are.

It was SNOWING here in NE Ohio...so sadly no blood red moon for me. I'll hope to catch it next time.
