26 January 2013 Journal Page

The good news about the trip to the dentist is that I like my dentist (she's a fellow nerd who loves Batman and Star Trek. Yay!) The bad news is I have a bunch of cavities and other things that need to be done. I'm just happy that I was able to get an appointment and hopefully it will all get taken care of. Fingers crossed.

I am super excited about my Swatches class that is officially starting tomorrow. There's a bunch of material already up on the class site but I can't wait to see what folks start to do with the new material. It's always exciting to see how folks things. I know that I keep saying it but it's true! It's my favorite part of teaching!!

Lots of things on the To Do List this week. I'm prepping for my class on Saturday. I'm also working on a new and revised version of my Triptych book class. I'll be sharing that soon. I posted a teaser photo on Instagram but you can't tell what it is. Between all of that as well as my new online class work, and family stuff, I'm a busy, busy bee (in a good way!)

One quick comment on the page above, I don't love it. I'm okay with it but it's not one of my favorites. I love the coloring down the bottom and my journaling about my Dad but that's about it. I'm mentioning this to reinforce the fact that not all pages are going to be pretty and perfect (whatever that is.) It's okay to let a page go and to move on when you have pushed it as far as you can push. You've got a whole book to fill.

Strange thing is, I do like this journal page. To each their own. There are many more pages in the book, like you said. Can't wait for Swatches...gonna go check it out.

I need to go to the dentist myself and just keep putting it off until I feel I can handle it again. I have a huge fear of dentist. Sigh...
