Love the side by sides!

And I am missing my Kelly Kilmer Colorado classes. Have you scheduled anything for Colorado yet for this year? Is there anything I can do to help you with that? Seriously.

I continue to wander as a journal and loving where it is taking me. My mom died in December and your pages and your posts about your dad are really speaking to me and leading me as well.

Thank you, ladies!!!

Dear Rachel,

My deepest and most sincere sympathies about the loss of your Mother. I am thinking of you and sending lots of love and good hugs from afar. If you ever need or want to talk, I am here.

I am working with Tracey Kazimir-cree about finding a venue at the end of July in or around Fort Collins. She has it boiled down to two places and we just are waiting for her to see what they agree to. Cross your fingers.

Art journaling has helped yet I still feel crappy. There's a big hole and it's nothing I will ever have closure with. But I seriously suggest any form of art, it is wonderful therapy and it can give you an outlet and a place to grieve, document and process. I also liked Susannah Conway's book. There was another one, too, about a woman who lost her very ill mother (I think it was the Long Goodbye.) Nothing that directly related to my experience but knowing I'm not alone in my grief and the experience helps. Juliana Coles has a $20 workbook in her etsy shop (it's limited) that's a grief class. I ordered it yesterday. I love her classes so I wanted to pass the info along to you.

I really hope to see my Colorado friends this summer.

Big, big hugs,

Kelly

Thank you, Kelly. It is nice to know you are thinking of me and I may take you up on your offer to call. There is something comforting knowing that someone out there understands how hard this can be.

I am excited to know that there is a possibility of a class with you in July. I have just blocked out my calendar. Fingers crossed and good thoughts going on about that.

I agree that art journaling helps, but it doesn't fill a hole. It just helps to understand why the hole is there. I think closure comes much much later. Since Mom and I lived together, I hear her calling me... But my art journal seems to be about searching for what's next. I didn't realize how much of me was devoted to her. Not just through her physical care due to her stroke, but emotionally and spiritually. My art is my escape, my therapy, my joy.

Thanks for the referrals. I will look into Susannah Conway's book and I read The Long Goodbye. I'm also going to check into Juliana Coles workbook/grief class. In the meantime, I keep looking for understanding of why our lives work the way they do......

I am going to be positive and say ---- See you later this summer!
