New Books

Here are the books that I've purchased in the last couple of months:

If you're interested in this book, you may want to check out the Quay Brothers work as well.

Not shown above but very high on my wish list is Drawing Surrealism. If you are in or near Los Angeles, you MUST check out the exhibit which ends in early January. You could easily spend all day in it. (Kubrick is also another very big must see but you have until the middle of next year to see that although you could be like us want to go see it more than once! The Caravaggio's are stunning to see in person as well especially this one where you can't see the details and what's in the shadows in the background in any of the books that I've seen.)

Another book not shown above is a special boxed set edition of Shaun Tan's The Arrival that I found on a very high shelf at one of my favorite used bookstores. It wasn't as expensive as I've found it online (look around as the prices are all over the place.) I jumped at the chance (even though I bought The Arrival when it first came out) to buy this edition for the special book called Sketches from a Nameless Land that contains various drawings and sketches about the making of The Arrival. It's also a really cool presentation as the books are in a cardboard suitcase.

If you like my book lists, you may want to check out my amazon wish list here.

What books have you bought recently that you've enjoyed or what's on your wish list?
