I thought about creating my first Dia de Los Muertos altar for my Dad this year but the more I thought about it, I couldn't bring myself to do it. It got me too upset. Maybe next year. Dad probably would've gotten a kick out of it. He would have loved the whole idea of leaving out a beer for a loved one. Though I think we left out a beer for Santa once or twice (we all know how hard Santa works and not just on Christmas Eve!) Never for the Easter bunny, though. Maybe because the bunny came too early in the morning (on their way home from work.)
