Inside Cover of My New Journal

Today was a pretty relaxing day. I answered a few questions about the new online class and did some online work, but not too much (after spending several hours daily online for the last week, I had to get away a bit.) I made pancakes for breakfast and for dinner, honey whole wheat pizza (when I get the recipe to my liking, I'll share! I promise!) I listened to online radio. I did a few pages in my journal. I hung out with Tristan. It's been good today. I've been in my pjs all day and I'm very happy about that! I hope that your weekend was a good one.

So I'm back to playing with mixing media in my journal. I haven't dabbled in the wet stuff in my journal since 2009 (or so.) After more than ten years with painty fingers, I needed a break so I focused exclusively on dry mediums and collage. Now I'm dabbling with the wet stuff again and I'm wondering where it will take me...

Thanks, Kay! They are not normally colors that I gravitate towards but I do try to push myself outside of my color vocabulary every now and then. ;)

Thanks, Lisa!! This will be different than my other painting classes. I have some things I am trying out. I'm excited. :D
I'm also horsing around with the wet stuff again. Like your combos very much.
one reason i'm using watercolor paper in my new art journal is that i love to use watercolors as backgrounds.

Now those are colors I love!! I mostly do the paint thing but am really enjoying the straight collage I have been doing since I started with RITM. I sat down and read every word of TJW pdf on Saturday night and was so psyched I went straight to making a collage. I will make the book, probably after the book I'm in the middle of making, because it looks easy enough for me to get it right!!
